DESCRIPTION

Armodafinil – the R-enantiomer of modafinil (a mixture of R- and S-enantiomers) with a longer half-life. Armodafinil’s mechanism of action is not completely determined. Armodafinil does not bind to or inhibit several receptors and enzymes potentially relevant for sleep/wake regulation, including those for serotonin, dopamine, adenosine, galanin, melatonin, melanocortin, orexin-1, orphanin, PACAP, or benzodiazepines, or transporters for GABA, serotonin, norepinephrine, and choline or phosphodiesterase VI, COMT, GABA transaminase, and tyrosine hydroxylase. Besides wakefulness-promoting effects and the ability to increase locomotor activity, Armodafinil also has psychoactive and euphoric effects, improves mood, perception, thinking, and feelings, i.e., has a stimulating effect.

INSTRUCTIONS & DOSAGE

Active substance: armodafinil 150mg

For oral administration. The pill should be swallowed with water.

Recommended dose of ARTVIGIL is 150 mg once a day in the morning or early afternoon. In the case of shift work sleep disorder, the pill should be taken one hour before work.
